Rubens Tilkian Receives the Ramos de Azevedo Diploma
"We are grateful for the work we have developed in the São Paulo Judiciary. Grateful for the achievements we witness daily in the delivery of justice. Grateful for the friends we have made here and for the people – judges, staff, members of the Justice System, litigants, the general public. We are here to offer our best, and today, with the Ramos de Azevedo Diploma in hand, we go home with the same sense of duty fulfilled as every day, but with our hearts full of gratitude.”
These are the words of the Secretary of Information Technology of the São Paulo Court of Justice, Marco Antônio Lopes Samaan, who spoke on behalf of the 83 recipients of the “Ramos de Azevedo Diploma,” awarded by the TJSP (São Paulo Court of Justice) on the afternoon of Thursday (26) to staff and legal professionals for their significant services rendered to the Judiciary of the State of São Paulo. Check out the list of honorees.
The award was created in 2013 to mark the eighty years since the inauguration of the Palace of Justice, the headquarters of the Court. The ceremony, conducted by TJSP President, Justice Ricardo Mair Anafe, began with the performance of the National Anthem by the Camerata of the São Paulo State Military Police. Next, the honorees were called to receive their diplomas, handed out by the President and other members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary: TJSP Vice President, Justice Guilherme Gonçalves Strenger; General Justice Inspector, Justice Fernando Antonio Torres Garcia; and Presidents of the TJSP Sections, Justices Artur César Beretta da Silveira (Private Law), Wanderley José Federighi (Public Law), and Francisco José Galvão Bruno (Criminal Law).
After the presentation, Secretary Marco Samaan delivered a speech, also discussing the emotions experienced by the recipients. “For us, more than an honor of such grandeur, the lasting memory that nothing and no one can erase from our minds is the recognition by the Court of Justice for the work each one of us performs daily. There are no words or gestures that can fully express our gratitude and joy,” he said.
President Ricardo Mair Anafe emphasized two feelings mentioned in the Secretary’s speech: love for the work and gratitude. He made a point of highlighting that the gratitude is from the TJSP, for the services provided by the recipients of the Ramos de Azevedo Diploma. “The ‘thank you’ is from the Presidency of the Court, from the Justice of the State of São Paulo, and from the people of São Paulo for the services you have rendered to the Judiciary, which has the constitutional duty to deliver justice and resolve conflicts. The greatness of the TJSP stems from its staff and judges,” he said.
Also in attendance were the TJSP President for the 2020/2021 term, Justice Geraldo Francisco Pinheiro Franco; TJSP Ombudsperson and Southeast Regional Women’s Ombudsperson of the National Justice Council, Justice Ligia Cristina de Araújo Bisogni; Justices Luiz Antonio Cardoso, José Roberto de Souza Meirelles, Ivana David; Head of the TJSP Military Police Advisory, Colonel PM Miguel Elias Daffara; Division Police Delegate Marco Antonio Alvares Barreiras, representing the General Delegate of Civil Police, as well as judges, lawyers, staff, and family members of the honorees.
